We will deliver your bottle(s) using the DHL Express Delivery service. Bottles will usually be with you the next working day depending on when we process your order. The delivery time may be delayed however for the following remote areas: IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE, BT, IM & TR21-25.
We incur a surcharge for these remote areas however since most of the Whisky is made in Scottish Highlands, Islands and remote areas, we will not charge you for the extra delivery surcharge.
£70.00 for the first bottle in a shipment and £10.00 for each bottle up to the 10th bottle.
See Below the List of US states available for delivery who we ship to every week.
The courier or carrier and delivery time will vary depending on which State we are shipping to.
Please be aware that Florida and Texas currently have 7-9 day lead times for delivery and tracking is not available for these two States.
The delivery address must have someone over 21 years of age to sign for the shipment, so we cannot use PO boxes. We also cannot send to schools or universities. Couriers occasionally experience difficulty with military bases.
Each single shipment is deemed to be 1 box and cannot exceed 10 bottles shipment. After the bottle limit of 10 has been reached, each new shipment will start at £70.00 for the first bottle. Please note that multi box shipments can be dispatched but may have to be within a few days of each other.
Your shipping fees include all US taxes and FDA fees where applicable but exclude customs charges. As of 4th March 2021 the the US Whisky tariff of 25% on all Single Malt Scotch and Northern Irish Whiskey has been suspended however, please note shipments to the US over the value of $2500 will attract an additional Customs Formal Clearance charge of £130 per shipment levied by US Customs. You will be charged for this when you request a quote. Additional restrictions may apply to US shipping, where this is the case you will be advised in advance on your custom quote.
Prices are £70.00 for the first bottle in a shipment and £10.00 for each bottle up to the 10th bottle. If you have more than this then you would be charged for another shipment(s) depending on how many bottles overall you have and wish to ship out.
See below for total costs, i.e shipping 2 bottles is £80 for both bottles.
These quoted rates do not include Loss & Breakage cover or any other fees, costs or charges that may be implemented from Customs.
Looking for tracking information? get in touch by email firstname.lastname@example.org to ask for an update approximately 3 days after you receive your dispatched email from us. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a tracking number unless requested and this may not be available for every State.

Unfortunately, The Rare Whisky Shop has no control over duties and tax charges customs will collect when importing alcohol. If you live within the European Union, the good news is that the price you see is the price you pay. If you live outwith the European Union your country of residence may charge you duty and tax on your imported alcohol. You are responsible to pay this at your local customs office or maybe your courier will take payment upon delivery. Under no circumstances will the courier deliver your shipment without taking this payment. If you refuse to pay then the shipment will be returned to the depot where they will hold it for a maximum of 7 days and then the shipment will be destroyed by customs, or returned to sender. If the shipment is destroyed, The Rare Whisky Shop will not be liable to provide a refund. We will however deduct our fees for the return from your refund only if the item is returned to sender. By purchasing from us you agree to the delivery conditions set out regarding duty and taxation charges.
Deliveries to schools, colleges, PO boxes, military bases and prisons are not permitted.
Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full information on returns.
The Rare Whisky Shop may provide an exchange, refund or a gift card for any faulty or defective products, or if products are different as detailed on our website.
If upon receipt of your bottle you are not satisfied, you must notify us in writing within 7 working days from the date of your order. We will only refund the delivery charge if the item was delivered incorrectly, or the item was damaged in transit.
Any returned goods must reach us within 14 days of placing your order. The bottle must be unopened, sealed and in good condition, and returned in the original packaging. The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us. You are also responsible for arranging and insuring the return shipment. We may claim against you in the event of damage or loss. The Rare Whisky Shop shall not be responsible for any loss or damage in transit of the returned goods.
We take great time and care when packaging your bottle so it reaches you in great condition. From time to time a package may be damaged in transit. Upon receiving your shipment, you should carefully inspect it to ensure that the product is intact and as described. At point of delivery you must inform the courier of any breakages, damages or leakage, otherwise we cannot hold them responsible for the claim. In this instance the parcel should be rejected and ask the courier to return to sender. We cannot consider any claims for breakages or damages unless this information is clearly stated on the courier’s delivery documentation.
