The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records all round the world, such is it’s quality and rarity.
Macallan claim to be the best “Single Malt in the world” and we can’t say we disagree!
The first edition of the 4 bottle series. Prices for the Macallan edition 1 have risen steeply of late due to limited edition Macallan’s being amongst the most collectable in the world. A better investment than gold? You bet!
