Macallan Easter Elchies 2013 17 Year Old 1996 Blue Ribbon

£5,495.00

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow ‘cut’ of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records all round the world.

The first releases to bear the name of the distilleries famous manor home were the Easter Elchies Seasonal Selection, launched in 2005, followed by a highly acclaimed and equally sought after single cask series. The Easter Elchies single cask bottlings from Macallan are released annually exclusive to Macallan distillery. This was released over two days in November and December 2013 to incredibly high demand and a number of unhappy customers. Limited to 386 bottles worldwide.
