Macallan Easter Elchies 2011 14 Year Old 1997 Purple Ribbon

£3,475.00

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow ‘cut’ of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records all round the world.

The first releases to bear the name of the distilleries famous manor home were the Easter Elchies Seasonal Selection, launched in 2005, followed by a highly acclaimed and equally sought after single cask series. The Easter Elchies single cask bottling’s from Macallan are released annually exclusive to Macallan distillery. The 2011 release of Macallan’s famous Easter Elchies bottling. From a single Sherry Butt, this whisky was left to mature for 14 years before being bottled. Limited to 550 bottles worlwide.
