Hakushu Suntory Pure Malt 12 Year Old miniature is a prized collectible for whisky enthusiasts, especially those who appreciate the history and legacy of Japanese whisky. It represents an early version of the renowned Suntory Pure Malt expression produced at the Hakushu distillery.
This was a beloved expression, highly regarded for its well-rounded and complex flavour profile, which resulted from the artful blending of various malt whiskies. However, the popularity of this expression eventually led to stock shortages, and it was discontinued in 2018.
TASTING NOTES
Color: Light gold
Nose: Aromas of green apples, pears, and hints of citrus
Palate: Ripe apples and pears with a touch of tropical fruit, and light earthy notes
Finish: lingering sweetness and a hint of smoke with a final touch of citrus zest.
